HUNTER’S MIRROR

The chiền chiện (skylark) bird is a species with delicious meat but difficult to catch.
In the field, the hunter places a mirror on a stand. The chiền chiện bird lands in front of the glass and becomes mesmerized by its own reflection, moving back and forth, and mimicking the mating dance it sees in the mirror. Entranced, the bird loses its sense of the surrounding environment, until the hunter’s net captures it.

Humans are often like the chiền chiện bird.

The mirror is the praise of others.
